Meet April's Employee Spotlight: Natalie!

Meet The Philly Temps & Perm Employee of the Month for April 2024 - Natalie R.!

Natalie’s welcoming presence on assignment is always a high point in the day of each coworker and client she meets. Long hours do not get her down, early mornings do not diminish her joy, long lines do not intimidate her and dealing with an array of personalities does not affect her disposition. She IS customer service personified.

It should also be noted that Natalie has a curiosity that makes her able to hold a conversation on any topic, which can make the down time on long days much more pleasant.

Natalie makes the days go by smoothly and that is why we chose her.

Natalie makes the days go by smoothly and that is the reason why we chose her for this month’s Employee of the Month!

Thank you, Natalie, for all that you do.

Philly Temps (PT): How long have you lived in the Philadelphia, PA area?

Natalie R. (NR): I moved here 22 years ago for a job. I fell in love with the city so I stayed.

PT: What was your work experience prior to working with Philly Temps?

NR: I originally moved to Philadelphia to work at the Wilma Theater as an Assistant Stage Manager. I graduated with a degree in technical theater. I mainly worked as a stage electrician and in stage management. Before starting with Philly Temps, I also worked as a nanny for 18 years.

PT: How did you hear about Philly Temps?

NR: My mom stumbled across Philly Temps on Google.

PT: Please share your most memorable experience working for Philly Temps.

NR:   My most memorable position was probably during a Nurses Convention. I worked directly with the client. It was an exhausting day but we all had so much fun and were laughing constantly.

PT: Do you have a favorite local place to shop or visit?

NR: They don't have a brick and mortar store, but my favorite company to chase from pop-up shop to pop-up shop is Poppa's Custard Company. I discovered them at the Flower Show last year. They have the most amazing custard.

PT: What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

NR: I am a feline volunteer at Animal Care & Control Team (ACCT Philly). Animal welfare has always been my passion. I even volunteered at the Kawaii Kitty Cafe several years ago. I was born into a home with cats and there has rarely been a time that I haven't had at least one cat.  I also love visiting Disney World. It was somewhere that we would go on vacation when I was a child, so there will always be a feeling of nostalgia to me.

PT: What are your long-term career goals?

NR: I am interested in working in events and hospitality. I would also like to get back into theater.

PT: What advice can you give to prospective candidates that want to work with Philly Temps?

NR: Come to work each day with an open mind (and open ears). Every client will have their own way of doing things. They have put months of work into trying to make everything perfect. We all can do our own small part in helping to make the convention go smoothly for the client and the attendees.
