 That’s how he got to work in data entry for a company making change, That’s how he worked at convention helping Exhibitors connect with new clients, that’s how he got to be a secret shopper for a real estate company trying to impress investors, that’s how he got to welcome University Freshman starting their educational journey and that’s how he got to be the Philly Temps & Perm Employee of the Month for November 2018.

Joseph’s positive attitude and willingness to accept new concepts is not only impressive, it’s contagious. Everyone who has worked with him has ended their day with a smile and a feeling that anything is possible.

We can not thank Joseph enough for his flexibility, his professionalism and his dedication to a job well done.

We also thank for him for answering some questions that let us get to know him a little better.

 Philly Temps (PT): How long have you lived in the Philadelphia, PA area?

Joseph S. (JS): I have lived in Philadelphia for two years.

PT: What was your work experience prior to working with Philly Temps?

JS: Prior to Philly Temps, I worked primarily at Target, snagging whatever temp work I could on the side.

PT: How did you hear about Philly Temps?

JS:  I found out about Philly Temps through a quick Google search.

PT:  Please share your most memorable experience working for Philly Temps.

JS:  The convention in the Philadelphia Convention Center last year was highly memorable. I got to learn a lot about several companies and aid in their networking.

 PT: What are your long-term career goals?

 JS:  I would like to have a steady career in literature or music. Whichever one fights its way to the top and proves itself ready.

PT:  What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

JS:  I write science fiction stories and songs for my band, go on hikes, and play video games.

PT:  What advice can you give to prospective candidates that want to work with Philly Temps?

JS: My advice would be to open yourself up as wide as you can for the opportunities that present themselves to you, and be persistent—the best is yet to come.

Helping The University of Pennsylvania Freshmen Student Move-In!

Philly Temps was proud to help the Incoming Freshman move into their dorms for the third year in a row.
Is it work? It sure is!! But it is all about the people, and we couldn’t be prouder of the staff this year! They GOT IT DONE!

Our event staff proved once again, that when you come together as a team, anything can be accomplished. It is also worth mentioning that not everyone can pull off Neon Yellow with such style.

Thank you University of Pennsylvania class of 2020 for giving us the privilege of helping you start your journey and thank you to the hardest working team of event staff out there today!

News – Open House Wednesday August 21st

As we gear up for a very large scale project we are still looking for candidates to work this Thursday and Friday, August 22nd and 23rd. We will be hosting an open house tomorrow, Wednesday August 21st to staff for this project. We ask that all interested parties call our offices at (215) 731-1010 for more information before attending. We require a resume. Background checks will be performed. This is part-time, as-needed work, but once registered with Philly Temps you will be eligible for our convention and event positions. Our favorite way to identify high-caliber workers is through the recommendation of our temps we already know and trust. People who have excelled in customer service positions in the past are strongly encouraged to have their friends contact us and let us know that they are a referral. We are always seeking outgoing and enthusiastic team members with an excellent work ethic.
This job requires a willingness to work outdoors rain or shine. These positions do require physical labor as well as standing for long periods of time in addition to excellent customer service skills. This project pays the standard convention rate, but the uniform will be shorts and a tee-shirt. This project is public transportation accessible.
