Philly Temps was proud to help the Incoming Freshman move into their dorms for the third year in a row.
Is it work? It sure is!! But it is all about the people, and we couldn’t be prouder of the staff this year! They GOT IT DONE!

Our event staff proved once again, that when you come together as a team, anything can be accomplished. It is also worth mentioning that not everyone can pull off Neon Yellow with such style.

Thank you University of Pennsylvania class of 2020 for giving us the privilege of helping you start your journey and thank you to the hardest working team of event staff out there today!

NEWS – Philly Temps Internships

Philly Temps is currently looking for motivated students of the Hospitality, Event, Business, and Human Resources fields to apply to our internal paid internships.

Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with Philly Temps staff in creating and executing marketing programs, developing and maintaining client relationships, as well as screening and on boarding candidates.

This is a flexible paid internship, although a commitment of a minimum of 15 hours a week will be required. Compensation is competitive, and depending on need, internship may also apply for school credit. Applicants must currently be enrolled in relevant program and highly motivated to enter into the staffing or human resources field.

How Job Seekers in Philadelphia Can Turn Temp into Perm

When I interview potential Philly Temps employees, I always try to probe what sort of work are they open to? Because we do all length of assignments, I need talented people who are looking for different things. I need workers who only want part time, who are only available for a few months, who are happy to be on call but don’t want to commit to anything long-term. However, many candidates I speak with are firm in that they are only looking for permanent or guaranteed temp-to-perm opportunities. Frequently I am told in the interview not to bother to contact candidates for anything less than a month, or three month, or six month assignment. “It’s not worth my time” they tell me. Ok, I say, noting it in their file. Because we need people who are only looking to commit to a perm opportunity. And I listen to what they say they want. I don’t reach out to them when a short temp job comes in. And they lose out.
