The employment landscape may have changed over the past few months, however hard work and a professional demeanor never go out of style.

A cross country move, an internet search and an open mind is what brought Adam B. to our attention. A strong work ethic, clear communication and a dedication doing a good job is what made him our choice for the Philly Temps & Perm employee of the Month for September 2020.

Thank You Adam, for a job well done, and for letting us get to know you a little better.

Philly Temps (PT): How long have you lived in the Philadelphia, PA area?

Adam B (AB): I moved to the Philly area in August of 2019.

PT: What was your work experience prior to working with Philly Temps?

AB: I graduated from college in 2017 and had worked for two companies before I came to Philly Temps.

PT: Can you talk about your transition to remote work and how you enjoyed it?

AB: The transition to working remotely was surprisingly smooth! Being able to stay home during this turbulent period has been nice, and it seems like remote work will be around for a while, so it's good to be able to make that transition and get to work.

PT: How did you hear about Philly Temps?

AB: I was looking for jobs in Philadelphia, and they came up as the best agency to work with for job placement in the area.

PT: Please share your most memorable experience working for Philly Temps.

AB: My current job! I've been in the same position for around 9 months, and I'm happy to say that Philly Temps found me a really good role for what I was looking for.

PT: What are your long-term career goals?

AB: I will probably go back to school at some point and get a further degree.

PT: What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

AB: I make a lot of music and collect Victor-style coffee mugs from local coffee shops everywhere I go.

PT: What advice can you give to prospective candidates that want to work with Philly Temps?

AB: The more details you can provide about what you're looking for and what your skills are, the better. If you turn down an opportunity, make sure to explain why so you can help narrow your search down and get more relevant interviews. And don't be afraid to interview for positions that might seem outside of what you're looking for, you never know what opportunities will open up.
