February 2026 Employee of the Month!
Player 1 Ready is a phrase associated with gaming, however it is not that far a reach to say that it is a great starting off point for a job search. When you are starting a career journey you have to be ready to search for your own path, you have to be prepared to deal with obstacles, you have to be open to pivot your direction and you have to keep your eye on the finish line. Ted T’s expertise in gaming has made him ready for all of these things, which is what brought him to Philly Temps and why we chose him as Employee of the Month for February 2026.
Ted says yes to opportunities, Ted does research on those opportunities and Ted recognizes how each opportunity can get him to the finish line.
The high scorer this month is Philly Temps for having Ted on our team.
Thank you, Ted!
Philly Temps (PT): How long have you lived in the Philadelphia, PA area?
Ted T. (TT): I've been living in Philadelphia for about 12 years. First Fishtown, then South Philly and now I'm in West.
PT: What was your work experience prior to working with Philly Temps?
TT: I was mostly in hospitality, and I helped out with some art galleries in Northern Liberties.
PT: How did you hear about Philly Temps?
TT: A friend told me about Philly Temps, and said they were pleasant to work with. They were right!
PT: Please share your most memorable experience working for Philly Temps.
TT: Last summer my supervisor took my coworkers and I out to Spruce Harbor Park for tacos and margaritas. We talked about books and movies and things. My coworker read us a passage from Finnegan's Wake, which was hilarious.
PT: Do you have a favorite local place to shop / visit?
TT: I like to go to a bookstore and pick up something enticing that will sit on my bookshelf unread for a few years. Iffy Books is good for that, or Bindlestiff. Mostly Books is like a crazy labyrinth of every kind of book you can imagine.
PT: What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
TT: Outside of my temp work I'm a video game producer, so I spend a lot of time making games. I also help out with Philly Game Mechanics, the Philadelphia community for game designers.
PT: What are your long-term career goals?
TT: I would like to open a game studio in Philadelphia and make games that make people think.
PT: What advice can you give to prospective candidates that want to work with Philly Temps?
TT: Be friendly. Temping is a great way to support yourself while pursuing your goals, but don't doomscroll at work. You get to meet all kinds of people from all walks of life, and making a good impression is key to getting where you want to be!
